Fresh Fruit Masks: A Delicious Way to Nourish Your Body

Fresh fruits are not only beneficial for our internal health, but they also positively impact our body's largest organ - the skin. I've been creating my own skincare products for years, and I'd like to share some of my favorites here. This is a fun at-home spa activity you can enjoy with your children. It allows them to experiment with natural foods, discover various textures, and even taste! Let's dive in and explore our DIY fresh fruit masks.

Banana Mash Mask

Bananas can nourish the skin, along with the help of honey to absorb and retain moisture, to deeply hydrate and enhance your natural glow. I like to add a touch of lemon juice that can help to exfoliate and improve vitamin C absorption.

Strawberry Body Scrub and Mask

Sugar scrubs are a great way to help polish your body, eliminating dead cells and letting your soft skin show through. Coconut oil will nourish and hydrate while strawberries act as a great exfoliator and remove the dead skin cells that pull your skin down. It also tightens the pores and prevents further blemishes from forming.

What you will need:

Medium bowl

Measuring spoon

Metal spoon & mixer

Ingredients:

1 cup cane sugar

1 cup freeze-dried strawberry powder

3/4 cup coconut oil, room temperature

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients together. Use a hand mixer and mix until a scrub like consistency forms.

2. Step into the shower (with water off) and start with the left leg and scrub upward motions to the heart, moving to the left arm and repeat on the right side.

3. I like to leave it on for about 5 min - then rinse it in shower with warm water. Be careful as shower floor could be slippery.
